BHP Billiton (ASX:BHP), a Melbourne, Australia-based natural resources exploitation company, is the winner of the tender of the first farmout of Mexico-based state-owned oil company Pemex, announced Pemex in a press release issued on 5 December 2016. Specifically, both BHP and BP (LSE/FWB/NYSE:BP), a London-based energy company, submitted bids with royalties for the Mexican state during the development of the Trión field of 4% more than the 7.5% stipulated by the government. As a result, the companies had a tie-break, in which BHP submitted a cash bonus of USD 624m, compared to BP's USD 605m bonus. BHP will operate the consortium with a 60% stake. Mexico's national hydrocarbons commission (CNH) announced the farmout in July 2015 (see related intel).

BHP Billiton (ASX:BHP), empresa dedicada a la explotación de recursos naturales con sede en Melbourne, Australia, ha resultado ganadora de la licitación del primer farmout de la petrolera estatal mexicana Pemex, ha anunciado Pemex en una nota de prensa publicada el 5 de diciembre de 2016. En concreto, tanto BHP Billiton como BP (LSE/FWB/NYSE:BP), empresa energética con sede en Londres, han presentado ofertas con una regalía para el estado mexicano durante el desarrollo del campo Trión de un 4% adicional al 7,5% estipulado por el gobierno. Por lo tanto, las empresas han sido sometidas a un desempate, en el que BHP ha presentado un bono en efectivo de USD 624m, frente a uno de USD 605m presentado por BP. BHP será la operadora del consorcio con una participación del 60%. La Comisión Nacional de Hidrocarburos (CNH) de México ha anunciado la realización del farmout en julio de 2015 (ver intel relacionados). |
