The president of Spanish bank BBVA (BME: BBVA), Francisco Gonzalez, during Business Meetings CEOE - CEPYME, confirmed the bank will play an important role in the consolidation of the banking sector, as published by newspaper El Pais on 17 November 2015.

Gonzalez believes that BBVA is capable of undertaking acquisitions and mergers that will produce a consolidation of the banking sector, which has been referred on several occasions by the governor and the deputy governor of Banco de España, Luis Linde and Fernando Restoy, respectively.

El presidente de la entidad financiera española BBVA (BME: BBVA), Francisco González, ha confirmado en los Encuentros Empresariales de CEOE - CEPYME que la compañía jugará un papel relevante en la consolidación del sector bancario, según ha reportado el diario El País el 17 de noviembre de 2015.

El directivo considera que BBVA tiene capacidad para acometer adquisiciones e integraciones cuando se produzca la consolidación del sector bancario a la que se han referido en varias ocasiones el gobernador y el subgobernador del Banco de España, Luis Linde y Fernando Restoy respectivamente.
