Synopsis

BBVA (BME:BBVA), a Spain-based financial institution, recorded a profit of almost EUR 3.5bn in 2016, 31.5% more than in the previous year, announced the company in its annual report issued on 1 February 2017.

This is the highest figure since 2010, and the entity alludes to the good evolution of recurrent income, the moderation of spending and the reduction of restructurings. In this increase, Mexico-based and Turkey-based subsidiaries played an important role, with a rise of 11% and 40.5%, respectively.

BBVA will distribute between 35% and 40% of these benefits with a 100% cash dividend.

BBVA (BME: BBVA), entidad financiera con sede en España, ha registrado un beneficio de EUR 3.475m en 2016, un 31,5% más que en el año anterior, según ha informado la compañía en su informe anual publicado el 1 de febrero de 2017.

Se trata de la cifra más alta desde 2010 y la entidad alude a la buena evolución de los ingresos recurrentes, a la moderación del gasto y la disminución de los saneamientos. En este incremento, han tenido un papel importante las filiales de México, con un incremento del 11% y Turquía, que registró una subida del 40,5%.

BBVA distribuirá entre el 35% y el 40% de estos beneficios con un dividendo 100% en efectivo.
