Azores Regional Government signed a partnership agreement with US-based Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) to promote the islands tourism, as published by Correio da Manhã on Mary 23, 2016, citing the Secretary of Tourism for Azores, Vítor Fraga. According to the news, Vítor Fraga estimated that 200 million potential tourists may visit the region in the next few years following, when the partnership is signed. The partnership also includes an expansion in modernization of information technology infrastructure in regional public administration.

O Governo Regional dos Açores firma parceria com a norte-americana Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) para promoção digital do destino, segundo publicou o Correio da Manhã no dia 23 de Maio de 2016, citando o Secretário do Turismo dos Açores, Vítor Fraga. Segundo a noticia, o Secretário do Turismo dos Açores estimou que 200 milhões de potenciais turistas possam vir a ter contacto com a região nos próximos anos na sequência da parceria assinada. A parceria contempla ainda um reforço na aposta da modernização das infraestruturas de tecnologia de informação na administração pública regional. |
