Axtel (BMV:AXTEL), a Mexico-based telecoms services provider and recently merged with Mexico-based Alestra, will seek to expand its operations towards the United States, reported Bloomberg on 23 February, 2016, citing Axtel CEO, Rolando Zubiran.

Zubiran noted there is a large Latin community in the United States that cannot be overlooked and added the first step was given by mobile operators that offer free roaming services between Mexico and the United States.

According to the report, Axtel already provided telecoms services to US-based subsidiaries of Mexico-based Alfa (BMV:ALFA), Alestra's parent company. Zubiran explained that there could be opportunities of expanding services to businesses in the United States.

Axtel (BMV:AXTEL), prestadora mexicana de servicios de telecomunicaciones y recientemente fusionada con la mexicana Alestra, buscará expandir sus operaciones hacia Estados Unidos, ha publicado Bloomberg el 23 de febrero de 2016, citando al gerente general de Axtel, Rolando Zubiran.

Zubiran ha señalado que existe una gran comunidad latina en Estados Unidos que no se puede ignorar y ha añadido que el primer paso lo han dado las operadoras móviles al ofrecer servicios de roaming gratuito entre México y Estados Unidos.

Según lo publicado, Axtel ya ha prestado servicios de telecomunicaciones a filiales estadounidenses de la mexicana Alfa (BMV:ALFA), matriz de Alestra. Zubiran ha explicado que podrían existir oportunidades para expandir servicios a empresas en Estados Unidos.
