Spain-based Avet Ventures will create an investment fund for new technology companies, after acquiring Fonslnnocat and Highgrowth Innovación, due to Highgrowth Partners' closure. The fund will have EUR 40m.

According to Avet, the objective is to launch a first private equity fund in the last quarter of 2015, for technology startups with resources ranging from EUR 40m to EUR 50m.

The company also manifested its intention of investing more in technology (software, hardware, applications for industries, etc.) than in internet related businesses.

The company's founder aspires to obtain part of the resources for the fund form public companies, such as ICO or CDTI, and the rest from family office and institutional investors, such as insurance companies.

La gestora española Avet Ventures lanzará un fondo de inversión para nuevas empresas tecnológicas tras la adquisición de la gestión de FonsInnocat y Highgrowth Innovación, como consecuencia del cese de la gestora Highgrowth Partners. El fondo contará con EUR 40m.

Según Avet, su objetivo es lanzar un primer fondo de private equity en el último trimestre de este año, dirigido a startups tecnológicas, con unos recursos que oscilarían entre los EUR 40m y EUR 50m.

También han matizado su intención de invertir más en tecnología (software, hardware, aplicaciones para industrias, etc.) que en negocios ligados con internet.

Su fundador aspira a captar una parte de los recursos del futuro fondo de entidades públicas, como el ICO o el CDTI, y el resto, de family office e inversores institucionales, como compañías de seguros.
