At leat 135 companies may close down in Honduras

The president of Siguatepeque's chamber of commerce and industries (CCIS), Adolfo López Urquia, informed at least 135 companies may close down due to the tax burden imposed by Honduras' Dirección Ejecutiva de Ingresos (DEI), reported Hondudiario on 11 September, 2015. López Urquia noted the pressure and policies imposed to companies by the DEI are hard to fulfill. Thus, businesses in the area decide to close down to avoid the further accumulation of losses and debt with the State. To date, around 35 companies may be undergoing a closure process and another 100 already announced it.

El presidente de la Cámara de Comercio e Industrias de Siguatepeque (CCIS), Adolfo López Urquia, ha informado que al menos 135 empresas podrían cerrar debido a las cargas tributarias que impone la Dirección Ejecutiva de Ingresos en Honduras, según ha publicado Hondudiario el 11 de septiembre de 2015. Según López Urquia, las presiones y políticas interpuestas por la DEI al sector empresarial resulta una carga difícil de cumplir, es así como los comerciantes de esa zona deciden cerrar para no seguir acumulando pérdidas y deudas con el Estado. Por el momento, unas 35 empresas podrían estar en proceso de cierre y otras 100 lo han anunciado ya. |
