US-based fund Apollo Global Management is among the buyers interested in acquiring Novo Banco. The fund, is close to finalizing the acquisition of insurance company Tranquilidade, and it would have to submit an offer by 31 December. Apollo Global Management's interest is similar to that of China-based Fosun - which according to TVI news is willing to offer up to 3.50bn to acquire Novo Banco - BPI and Banco Santander, admit they follow the process closely.

O fundo norte-americano, que está prestes a concretizar a compra da seguradora Tranquilidade, terá de entregar a manifestação de interesse até 31 de dezembro. O interesse do fundo de private equity norte-americano junta-se aos chineses da Fosun – que, segundo notícia da TVI, está disposto a oferecer até 3.500 milhões pelo Novo Banco – e, também, do BPI e do Santander Totta, bancos que admitem estar a acompanhar de perto este processo. |
