American Airlines (NASDAQ:AAL), based in Fort Worth, Texas, and United, based in Chicago, Illinois, announced they filed applications to begin operating daily direct flights to Havana, Cuba, in two press releases issued on 2 March, 2016. United seeks to operate daily flights to Havana from Newark, Houston, Washington, and Chicago, with 11 weekly roundtrip flights; while American seeks to operate flights from Miami, Charlotte, Dallas/Fort Worth, Los Angeles, and Chicago, as well as flights from Miami to Santa Clara, Holguin, Varadero, Camaguey, and Cienfuegos. Las aerolíneas American Airlines (NASDAQ:AAL), con sede en Fort Worth, Texas, y United, con sede en Chicago, Illinois, han anunciado la presentación de solicitudes para comenzar a operar vuelos directos diarios a La Habana, Cuba, en dos notas de prensa publicadas el 2 de marzo de 2016. United busca operar vuelos diarios a La Habana desde Newark, Houston, Washington y Chicago, con 11 vuelos semanales ida y vuelta.
