América Móvil, a Mexico-based telecommunications company, plans to create a new company in May 2015, which will operate in the infrastructure rental segment. In addition, the company will close its towers' business (11,000 telecommunication towers), close to the founding date of the new company. According to América Móvil's general manager Daniel Hajj, this transaction would be independent from the sale of assets, intended to reduce their market share to less than 50%. AT&T and Telefónica España have shown interest in acquiring these assets. (see related radars)

La compañía mexicana de telecomunicaciones América Móvil, se plantea crear una nueva empresa en mayo de 2015 para competir en el negocio de arrendamiento de infraestructura. Además, escindirá su negocio de torres (11.000 torres de telecomunicaciones) en una fecha aproximada a la de la creación de la empresa. Según el director general de la compañía, Daniel Hajj, esta operación sería independiente a la venta de activos que se podría llevar a cabo en la empresa para disminuir su participación de mercado por debajo del 50%.
