Spanish bank BBVA, through private equity fund Valanza, and Spanish entrepreneur Amancio Ortega, owner of Inditex, decided to rule out the sale of hotel chain Occidental Hoteles, since the offers received did not match their expectations. Occidental Hoteles was put up for sale in February 2014 (see related radars). Until this moment entities such as Mexican group Grupo Posadas, fund Caribbean Property Group and Iberostar submitted offers to acquire the company.

La entidad financiera BBVA, a través de su fondo de private equity Valanza, y el empresario Amancio Ortega, dueño de Inditex, han decidido descartar la venta de la cadena Occidental Hoteles al no encontrar ninguna oferta que se adecúe a sus expectativas. Ambas entidades pusieron a la venta la entidad en febrero de 2014 (Ver radares relacionados) y hasta el momento habían recibido propuestas de compra de entidades como el mexicano Grupo Posadas, el fondo Caribbean Property Group e Iberostar. |
