All Nippon Airways (ANA), a Tokyo, Japan-based airline, plans to launch flights to Mexico in February 2017, reported El Economista on 12 May, 2016, citing president and CEO of ANA, Osamu Shinobe. Shinobe noted the new route follows the growing importance of the business ties between Japan and Mexico. Specifically, the new direct route will be operated daily between Tokyo's Narita International Airport and Mexico City.
