Alfa (BMV:ALFA), a San Pedro Garza, México-based aluminum head and monoblock manufacturer, announced its plans to sell oil assets of its subsidiaries Alpek (BMV:ALPEK) and Newpek in Peru and the US, reported El Financiero on 14 February 2017, citing Alfa CFO Ramón Leal. Specifically, Leal note these divestments follow the changes undergone by the energy sector regarding prices and demand, resulting in lower returns for the company. The executive added the assets in question would be a stake in the Eagle Ford oil field, in Texas, the oil exploration and production business in Peru, and, possibly, contracts in process in San Andrés and Tierra Blanca, Mexico. Additionally, Alfa will also analyze the sale of Alpek's cogeneration business in Cosoleacaque and a cogeneration project in Altamira, Mexico, said Leal.

Alfa (BMV: ALFA), fabricante de cabezas y monoblocks de aluminio con sede en San Pedro Garza, México, ha anunciado que planea vender activos petroleros de su filiales Alpek (BMV: ALPEK) y Newpek en Perú y Estados Unidos, ha publicado El Financiero el 14 de febrero de 2017, citando al director de finanzas de la empresa, Ramón Leal. En concreto, Leal ha señalado que estas desinversiones se deben a los cambios que ha sufrido el sector energético con respecto a precios y demanda y que han dado como resultado menores retornos para la empresa. El ejecutivo ha añadido que los activos en cuestión serían la participación en el campo petrolero Eagle Ford, en Texas, los negocios de exploración y producción de petróleo en Perú y, posiblemente, contratos en proceso en San Andrés y Tierra Blanca, México. Asimismo, Alfa también analizará la venta del negocio de cogeneración en Cosoleacaque y un proyecto de cogeneración en Altamira, México, de Alpek, ha agregdo Leal. |
