Aethel Partners, a London-based financial company is interested in Novo Banco, reported Jornal de Negócios on 30 January 2017.

Aethel, a company created by the Portuguese manager Ricardo Santos Silva, confirmed interest in the acquisition of Novo Banco with other investors who were not disclosed, but can only join the process if it competes with the US-based Lone Star and the consortium Apollo/Centerbridge, who are still in the race (see Intels related).

Once Aethel Partners' interest comes in the final stage of the sales process, the only way for the company to enter the deal would be through an alliance with one of these two competitors.

A Aethel Partners, empresa com sede em Londres que atua no setor financeiro, quer entrar na corrida ao Novo Banco, segundo publicou o Jornal de Negócios no dia 30 de janeiro de 2017.

A Aethel, empresa criada pelo gestor português Ricardo Santos Silva, manisfestou o interesse na aquisição do Novo Banco juntamente com certos investidores, que não foram identificados, porém só poderá participar no processo se concorrer juntamente com a norte-americana Lone Star e o consórcio Apollo/Centerbridge, que ainda estão na corrida (ver Intels relacionados).

Uma vez que o interesse da Aethel Partners surge na fase final do processo de venda, a única forma da empresa entrar nesta corrida seria através de uma aliança com um destes dois concorrentes norte-americanos.
