AT&T will evaluate the radio spectrum tender the federal telecoms institute (IFT) will launch this year in Mexico, reported El Financiero on 20 May, 2015 citing the US telecommunications company's CEO in the country. The company has 39.7% of the tendered spectrum in the Mexico, more than its competitors. However, its CEO in Mexico, Thaddeus Arroyo, explained that AT&T remains vigilant for opportunities to acquire more spectrum. Arroyo also said that, for now, the company is focused on the Nextel and Iusacell assets it recently acquired to expand its network (see related transactions).

AT&T (NYSE: T) evaluará las licitaciones de espectro radioeléctrico que el Instituto Federal de Telecomunicaciones (IFT) lanzará este año en México, ha publicado El Financiero el 20 de mayo de 2015 citando al CEO de la empresa estadounidense en el país. La empresa cuenta con el 39,7% del espectro concesionado en México, por encima del de sus competidores. Sin embargo, su CEO en México, Thaddeus Arroyo, explicó que AT&T siempre analiza si hay más espectro disponible. Arroyo también dijo que, por el momento, la empresa está enfocada en los activos de Nextel y Iusacell que acaba de adquirir para expandir su red (ver transacciones relacionada). |
