National Agency of Waterway Transportation ANTAQ is evaluating harbor areas that can be privatized, reported Valor Econômico on 28 July, 2016, citing the new ANTAQ CEO, Adalberto Tokarski. Among some examples of underused or inactive areas that can be managed by the private sector, is a pier that was used for the movement of fertilizers and ore in Aratu in the state of Bahia, ten inactive warehouses in Rio Grande, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, and non-operational structures in Porto Alegre. These are warehouses, piers for berthing and small terminals spread across almost the entire Brazilian coast.

A Agência Nacional de Transportes Aquaviários (ANTAQ) estuda áreas de portos que podem ser privatizadas, segundo publicou o Valor Econômico no dia 28 de julho de 2016, citando o novo Diretor Geral da Antaq, Adalberto Tokarski. Segundo a notícia, entre alguns exemplos de áreas subaproveitadas ou inativas que podem ser geridas pela iniciativa privada estão um píer que era usado para a movimentação de fertilizantes e minério em Aratu, no estado da Bahia, dez armazéns parados em Rio Grande, no estado do Rio Grande do Sul, e estruturas não operacionais em Porto Alegre também no estado do Rio Grande do Sul. São armazéns, píeres de atracação e pequenos terminais espalhados por quase toda a costa brasileira. |
