Synopsis |
Brazilian oil regulator ANP is analyzing ways to increase auction attractability, which will take place at the end of 2015, for small oil companies, as reported by Reuters on 21 September 2015, citing its director José Gutman. ANP is studying how to reduce costs and bureaucracy regarding rules compliance by winners of auctioned oil blocks. (see related Intel). The change would be exclusively applied to ten inactive areas, of six basins, which will be auctioned on 10 December 2015, at the 13th Bidding Round's second phase. Due to profile of these inactive areas, ANP expects to attract small and medium-size companies.
