A petrolífera angolana Sonangol anunciou o leilão de 10 novos blocos de exploração petrolífera, nas bacias terrestres dos rios Kwanza e Congo. Os 10 blocos representam mais de metade das reservas conhecidas de petróleo de Angola, o que corresponde a pelo menos 7 mil milhões de barris. Angola é atualmente o segundo maior produtor de petróleo na África subsaariana, atrás da Nigéria, com cerca de 1,7 milhões de barris por dia e o objetivo é atingir a cifra de 2 milhões em 2017. |
