BRAZIL
In November, the Brazilian transactional market reduced once more its activity level, registering some 60 deals both announced and closed. United States was again the country with largest number Brazilian companies acquired, but 67% less than previous month. The largest deal in November was an agreement signed by OGX Petróleo e Gás to acquire a 40% stake in Consórcio-Bloco BS-4, held by Petrobras. The deal value was USD 270m. Services and Distribution sector was among the most active, with 12 deals registered. Highlights include the acquisition of Mantecorp by Hypermarcas, which received the approval from the administrative council for economic defence (CADE - Conselho Administrativo de Defesa Econômica). Mantecorp is a pharmaceutical manufacturer and logistics services provider. The deal value was BRL 2,240bn. Furthermore, Gávea Investimentos signed an agreement in which it commits to subscribe a capital increase in Vanguarda Agro for BRL 350m. 

LATIN AMERICA
The Latin American transactional market, in November, increased slightly its activity, registering some 60 deals compared to 55 last month. Chile was the most active country, followed by Colombia and Mexico, and largest deals were registered in the Mexican transactional market. Highlights include an agreement signed by Sherwin Williams, a USA-based company, to acquire Mexican company Consórcio Comex, for USD 2,340m. Furthermore, Grupo Financiero Banorte acquired Afore Bancomer, a Mexico-based company, held by Spanish bank BBVA. The deal value was USD 1,600m.
