eGenius, a Brazil-based investment holding, headquartered in São Paulo, plans to invest in startups acting in the financial market, according to Baguette on July 11, 2016, citing the company's founder, Alexandre Liuzzi. The company has invested more than BRL 5m and by the end of 2016 that number should exceed BRL 15m, the report noted. "As we are always alert to trends, we use part of our effort developing technological solutions in the financial tech sector, which shows to be very promising in Brazil. The two areas we are presently acting, credit and exchange, represent almost BRL 2 trillion in transactions, according to Banco Central data", explains Alexandre Liuzzi.
