Uber, empresa estadounidense dedicada al desarrollo de una plataforma que pone en contacto a conductores particulares y pasajeros, ha comenzado a operar en Bolivia, ha publicado La Razón el 7 de noviembre de 2016, citando al gerente general de Uber en Bolivia, Bernardo Montúfar.

En concreto, el servicio ha comenzado a funcionar en la ciudad de Santa Cruz de la Sierra con al menos 100 automóviles.

Montúfar ha señalado que Uber se expandirá a La Paz y Cochabamba en un futuro muy próximo.
