Turkish, Dubai and Chilean companies consider investing in three Ecuadorian ports

Turkey-based Yilport, Chile-based Agunsa and Dubai-based Port World moved negotiations forward to materialize the investment in ports Bolívar, Posorja and Manta in Ecuador, as published by América Economía on 10 December 2015, citing Minister of Transport and Public Works, Walter Solis. In the case of Puerto Bolivar, negotiations with Yilport are underway and may materialize in the first quarter of 2016. On the other hand, Dubai state-owned Port World (DP World) is interested in building deep water port of Posorja, which is still being negotiated. An award is expected to be announced in the first semester of 2016 Meanwhile, Chile-based Agunsa plans to invest in the recovery of Puerto de Manta's capacity, and, similarly, the award is expected to be announced in the first semester of 2016.

La empresa turca Yilport, la chilena Agunsa y Dubái Port World han adelantado las negociaciones para concretar una inversión en los puertos Bolívar, Posorja y Manta de Ecuador, según ha informado América Economía el 10 de diciembre de 2015, citando al ministro de Transporte y Obras Públicas, Walter Solís. En el caso de Puerto Bolívar, las conversaciones se encuentran adelantadas con la empresa Yilport y puede llegar a concretarse en el primer trimestre de 2016. Por otro lado, la empresa estatal Dubái Port World (DP World) está interesada en la construcción del puerto de aguas profundas de Posorja y aún se encuentran en conversaciones. Se espera que la adjudicación se concrete en el primer semestre del año 2016 En tanto, la empresa chilena Agunsa propone invertir en la recuperación de la capacidad del puerto de Manta y, de igual forma, se espera que la adjudicación se concrete en el primer semestre del año 2016. |
