Televisa (BMV:TELEVISA), a Mexico City-based media company, could be interested in increasing its stake in US-based Spanish-language television network Univision, reported El Financiero on 3 July, 2015, citing analyst Jesús Romo, from consulting firm Telconomia. Televisa could seek to increase its stake in Univision from 38% to 49%, initially, following the USD-1bn IPO Univision plans to launch in the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), the report stated.
