Synopsis

The president of Chile, Michelle Bachelet, announced the use of Non-Conventional Renewable Energies in public transport through an agreement signed with Chile-based Sun Power and Brazil-based Latin American Power, announced the government in a press release issued on 23 May, 2016.

Under the agreement, Sun Power and Latin American Power will be in charge of the project and will invest a total of USD 500m in a photovoltaic plant and a wind farm to provide power to the Metro de Santiago, through a 15-year contract.

The project will launch operations in 2018.

La Presidenta de la República de Chile, Michelle Bachelet, ha anunciado el uso de Energías Renovables No Convencionales (ERNC) para el transporte público por medio de un convenio con la firma chilena Sun Power y el grupo brasileño Latin American Power, según ha informado el Gobierno en un comunicado de prensa publicado el 23 de mayo de 2016.

El convenio estará a cargo en conjunto con Sun Power y Latin American Power, en el que ambas firmas invertirán un total de USD 500m por medio de un proyecto de infraestructura que consiste en una central fotovoltaica y un parque eólico para suministrar energía eléctrica al Metro de Santiago, a través de un contrato por 15 años.

Estos proyectos entrarán en pleno funcionamiento a partir del 2018.

A Presidente da República do Chile, Michelle Bachelet, anunciou o uso de Energias Renováveis Não Convencionais (ERNC) no transporte público por meio de um convênio com a empresa chilena Sun Power e o grupo brasileiro Latin American Power, segundo publicou o próprio Governo chileno em Press Release do dia 23 de maio de 2016.

O convênio determina que ambas empresas, Sun Power e Latin American Power, deverão investir um total de USD 500m por meio de um projeto de infraestrutura que consiste em uma central solar fotovoltaica e um parque eólico para abastecer de energia elétrica o Metro de Santiago do Chile durante 15 anos, período estipulado em contrato.

Estes projetos estarão em funcionamento apartir do ano de 2018.
