South Korea requested Mexico the launch of negotiations to establish a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the two countries, to be signed by 2017, reported El Economista on 15 June, 2016, citing South Korean ambassador in Mexico, Beeho Chun. Specifically, Chun noted this would be a good time to launch and finalize negotiations and sign an agreement, before the presidential elections in South Korea, to be held in November 2017, and Mexico, in 2018. The official added he hopes the negotiations will begin in October. South Korea and Mexico already negotiated an FTA, but the process was suspended in 2008.

Corea del Sur le ha pedido a México iniciar las negociaciones para establecer un Tratado de Libre Comercio (TLC) entre los dos países, para que sea firmado para 2017, ha publicado El Economista el 15 de junio de 2016, citando al embajador surcoreano en México, Beeho Chun. En concreto, Chun ha señalado que este sería un buen momento para iniciar y finalizar las negociaciones y firmar un tratado, antes de las elecciones presidenciales de Corea del Sur, en noviembre de 2017, y de México, en 2018. El funcionario ha añadido que espera que las negociaciones comiencen en octubre. Corea del Sur y México ya han negociado un TLC, pero el proceso fue suspendido en 2008. |
