Scotiabank (TSX:BNS) may be considering a bid for Citigroup (NYSE:C) subsidiaries in Costa Rica and Panama, reported Bloomberg on 22 May, 2015, without identifying sources. According to the report, the two businesses could be worth about USD 1.1bn. This acquisition would be the second agreement between the two entities since Citi put several subsidiaries on the block in 2014 (see related Intel). Scotiabank agreed to acquire Citigroup’s retail and commercial business Servicios SPV in Peru in December, 2014. The deal was closed this month (see related transaction).

Scotiabank (TSX:BNS) estaría analizando la adquisición de las filiales de Citigroup (NYSE:C) en Costa Rica y Panamá, ha publicado Bloomberg el 22 de mayo de 2015, sin identificar fuentes. Según lo publicado, ambos negocios podrían ser valuados en USD 1.100m. Esta adquisición sería el segundo acuerdo entre las entidades desde que Citigroup puso varias filiales a la venta en 2014 (ver Intel relacionada). Scotiabank acordó la adquisición de Servicios SPV, las operaciones comerciales y minoristas de Citigroup en Perú, en diciembre de 2014.
