Canada-based Scotiabank and Mexico-based Bx+ could acquire HSBC's assets in Latin America, and its subsidiaries in Mexico and Brasil. According to different media sources in Latin America, Scotiabank has CAD 3bn available to invest. In February 2015, HSBC's general manager, Stuart Gulliver, said that Mexico was among the four most important markets in Latin America. (see related radar)

La entidad financiera canadiense Scotiabank y la mexicana Bx+ podrían llevar a cabo adquisiciones de activos de HSBC en Latinoamérica, así como comprar sus filiales de México y Brasil. Según diferentes medios de comunicación latinos, el banco de Canadá cuenta con CAD 3.000m, como capital disponible para salir de compras próximamente. En febrero de 2015 el director general de HSBC, Stuart Gulliver, había señalado que México estaría entre los cuatro mercados más importantes entre las naciones de Latinoamérica.
