QGEP - Queiroz Galvão Exploração e Produção could acquire a stake in Oil Block BS-4 held by OGpar (former OGX). This alternative, however, is not part of the company's business strategy to diversify its portfolio. QGEP is open to any attractive market opportunities. If it opens up, the company will analyze, but it is not its intention to increase its stake in this oil block. QGEP operates BS-4, which covers Atlanta and Olive fields, with 30% of the capital. The other shareholders are Barra Energia (30%) and OGpar (40%).

A alternativa, porém, não é interessante para a estratégia de negócios da empresa, que busca diversificar portfólio. A companhia vai estar aberta a alguma oportunidade de mercado que esteja atraente. Se isso vier a ocorrer, a companhia vai avaliar. Mas não é uma intenção nossa de partida buscar um aumento de stake [participação] neste bloco.
