The governor of the state of Nuevo Leon, Mexico, Jaime Rodríguez Calderón, met with executives of a China-based automaker on his recent trip to Beijing to appeal to the company to launch operations in the state, reported El Financiero on 1 December 2016, citing Under Secretary of Investment of the Nuevo Leon Department of Finance and Labor Samuel Peña. According to the report, the company in question, whose identity was not disclosed by the state government, could be BAIC Group (HKSE:1958), a Beijing-based automaker and auto part manufacturer, which had announced its entry into Mexico in May 2016 (see related intel).

El gobernador del estado de Nuevo León, México, Jaime Rodríguez Calderón, se ha reunido con los directivos de una automotriz china en una reciente visita a Beijing para atraer a la empresa a instalarse en el estado, ha publicado El Financiero el 1 de diciembre de 2016, citando al subsecretario de Inversión de la Secretaría de Economía y Trabajo de Nuevo León, Samuel Peña. Según lo publicado, la empresa en cuestión, cuya identidad no ha sido revelada por el gobierno estatal, podría ser BAIC Group (HKSE:1958), fabricante de vehículos y autopartes con sede en Beijing, que ya había anunciado su entrada en México en mayo de 2016 (ver intel relacionado). |
