Mexico's federal electricity commission (CFE) announced it awarded San Antonio, Texas-based Howard Midstream Energy Partners a contract for the construction of gas pipeline Webb County–Escobedo–Monterrey, in a press release issued on 6 August, 2015. Howard Midstream Energy Partners carried out an open season assisted by the CFE. The bid submitted by the oil company for the project was USD 1.632bn, a 37% reduction on the commission’s original budget of USD 2.62bn. The contract involves the engineering, permits, authorizations, construction, operation, and maintenance of the pipeline, which will extend from Webb County, Texas to Monterrey, Nuevo León, crossing Escobedo, Nuevo León. Howard Midstream Energy Partners will also own the pipeline. The pipeline will be 300-km long and will have a transportation capacity of 504 million cubic feet of gas daily. It is expected to begin operating in June 2017.

La Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) de México ha anunciado que ha otorgado un contrato a la petrolera estadounidense Howard Midstream Energy Partners para la construcción del gasoducto Webb County–Escobedo–Monterrey, en un comunicado de prensa publicado el 6 de agosto de 2015. Howard Midstream Energy Partners, con sede en San Antonio, Texas, ha llevado a cabo una temporada abierta, a la que ha asistido la CFE. La oferta presentada por la petrolera para el proyecto ha sido de USD 1.632m, 37% menos que el monto presupuestado por la comisión de USD 2.620m. El contrato estipula la ingeniería, permisos, autorizaciones, construcción, operación y mantenimiento del gasoducto que irá desde Webb County, Texas hasta Monterrey, Nuevo León, pasando por Escobedo, Nuevo León. Howard Midstream Energy Partners también será dueña del gasoducto. El gasoducto recorrerá 300 km y tendrá capacidad para transportar 504 millones de pies cúbicos de gas diariamente. Se espera que el gasoducto comience a operar en junio de 2017. |
