US-based private equity firm KKR wants to take advantage of recent Mexican reforms, and is currently considering strategic acquisitions in Mexico. In addition, the company has recently appointed a new CEO for Mexico, Luis Téllez Kuenzle, was the president of the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV). According to Téllez, KKR is looking for partners, through which the company will access to different operation modalities and to companies with experience in different parts of the world. Furthermore, he explained that such acquisitions do not necessarily require KKR to take control.

La firma de private equity estadounidense KKR quiere aprovechar las reformas realizadas en México recientemente y está estudiando realizar adquisiciones estratégicas en el país. Además, recientemente, acaban de nombrar como nuevo CEO de la firma para México al directivo Luis Téllez Kuenzle, quien anteriormente ocupó el cargo de presidente de la Bolsa Mexicana de Valores (BMV). Según Téllez, están buscando empresas que quieran asociarse con KKR, lo que les dará acceso a modos de operación muy diversos y experimentados de distintas partes del mundo. Además, ha explicado que dichas adquisiciones no requerirán necesariamente que KKR asuma el control de la empresa. |
