Hamleys, a UK-based toy and games manufacturer, launched operations in Latin America with the opening of its first store in Mexico, in alliance with Mexico-based real estate firm Grupo Sordo Magdaleno, reported CNN Expansión on 30 November, 2015, citing Sordo Magdaleno CEO, José Sordo. The toy store is located in Plaza Antara, Mexico City, and required an investment of MXN 30m. Sordo noted Grupo Sordo Magdaleno plans to open four Hamleys store in Mexico City and other six in Guadalajara, Puebla, Querétaro, and Monterrey. The Mexico-based group will invest MXN 200m in the openings in the next eight years. Hamleys is already present in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, and wants to continue expanding in the American continent, towards Colombia and the United States.

Hamleys, fabricante británica de juguetes y juegos, ha comenzado a operar en Latinoamérica con la apertura de su primera tienda en México, en alianza con la inmobiliaria mexicana Grupo Sordo Magdaleno, ha publicado CNN Expansión el 30 de noviembre de 2015, citando al CEO de Sordo Magdaleno, José Sordo. La juguetería está ubicada en Plaza Antara, en México D.F., y ha requerido una inversión de MXN 30m. Sordo ha señalado que Grupo Sordo Magdaleno planea abrir cuatro tiendas Hamleys en México D.F. y otras seis en Guadalajara, Puebla, Querétaro y Monterrey. El grupo mexicano invertirá MXN 200m en la apertura de las tiendas en los próximos ocho años. Hamleys ya está presente en Europa, Asia y Medio Oriente, y quiere continuar su expansión por el continente americano, hacia Colombia y los Estados Unidos. |
