O Grupo Cruzeiro do Sul Educacional, formado por instituições de ensino médio e superior e que tem sede em São Paulo, pretende comprar mais uma instituição de ensino até o final do primeiro semestre de 2016, segundo publicou a Reuters em 11 de janeiro de 2016, citando ao Diretor de Planejamento da empresa, Fabio Figueiredo. Segundo Fabio Figueiredo, "Nosso foco são instituições que sejam relevantes, que tenham autonomia universitária, marcas fortes e indicadores acadêmicos relevantes", e ele ainda acrescenta, empresas com estas características que tenham acima de 3.500 alunos são potenciais alvos para aquisição.
