Synopsis

After Gas Natural Fenosa's acquisition closure of a 96.50% stake in Grupo CGE (see related transaction), the company's CEO Rafael Villaseca, announced they are studying different options to invest again in the electricity generation industry, by acquiring assets or companies in Chile.

In 2012 and 2013, CGE marked its exit from the electricity generation industry, selling its assets to US-based Duke Energy and Chile-based Eléctrica Puntilla. (see related transactions)

Tras el cierre de la adquisición del 96,50% de Grupo CGE por parte de la española Gas Natural Fenosa (ver transacción relacionada), el CEO de la compañía, Rafael Villaseca, ha anunciado que se estudiarán opciones para volver a invertir en el negocio de generación eléctrica mediante la adquisición de activos o compañías en Chile.

Durante 2012 y 2013, el grupo CGE concretó su salida del negocio de generación eléctrica tras vender sus activos a la estadounidense Duke Energy y a la chilena Eléctrica Puntilla. (Ver transacciones relacionadas)
