Government of Portugal intends to grant Portuguese marinas, reported Sapo 24 Horas on 26 October 2016, citing the Minister of the Sea, Ana Paula Vitorino. According to it, tourism currently represents 50% of the maritime economy in Portugal, but there is a growth margin to the segment. Although most of the marinas are held by Docapesca, the government wants to tender some of them and grant concessions to private business.

O Governo de Portugal pretende concessionar marinas portuguesas, segundo publicou o Sapo 24 Horas em 26 de outubro de 2016, citando a Ministra do Mar, Ana Paula Vitorino. De acordo com a publicação, o turismo representa atualmente 50% da economia do mar em Portugal, mas existe margem de crescimento das marinas e de toda a fileira ligada aos desportos náuticos. Por isso, embora a maior parte das marinas sejam da Docapesca, o Governo tenciona pôr algumas a concurso e concessionar a privados. |
