The government of Peru canceled the concession of the Gasoducto Sur Peruano project given the concession holder, formed by Spain-based Enagás (BME:ENG), Peru-based Graña y Montero (BVL:GRAMONC1; NYSE:GRAM), and Brazil-based Odebrecht, did not obtain the necessary financing for the project, reported El Comercio on 23 January 2017, citing Peruvian Minister of Energy and Mines Gonzalo Tamayo. Tamayo noted the concession holder did not obtain financing given the financial system does not trust the companies that comprise it. The concession holder lost financing due to the presence of Odebrecht in the consortium. The Brazil-based company is immersed in a corruption scandal and did not manage to sell its 55% stake in the project (see related intel).

El gobierno de Perú ha cancelado la concesión del Gasoducto Sur Peruano dado que el concesionario, formado por la española Enagás (BME: ENG), la peruana Graña y Montero (BVL: GRAMONC1; NYSE: GRAM) y la brasileña Odebrecht, no ha conseguido el financiamiento necesario para el proyecto, ha publicado El Comercio el 23 de enero de 2017, citando al ministro peruano de Energía y Minas, Gonzalo Tamayo. Tamayo ha señalado que el concesionario no ha logrado obtener financiamiento dado que el sistema financiero no cree en las empresas que lo conforman. El concesionario ha perdido el financiamiento del proyecto debido a la presencia de Odebrecht, que está inmersa en un escándalo de corrupción y no había logrado vender su participación del 55% en el consorcio (ver intel relacionado).

O governo do Peru cancelou a concessão do Gasoducto Sur Peruano dado que o concessionário, formado pela espanhola Enagás (BME: ENG), a peruana Graña y Montero (BVL: GRAMONC1; NYSE: GRAM) e a brasileira Odebrecht, não conseguiram o financiamiento necessário para o projeto, segundo publicou o El Comercio no dia 23 de janeiro de 2017, citando o ministro peruano de Energia e Minas, Gonzalo Tamayo. Tamayo disse que as empresas não conseguiram obter financiamiento. O concessionário perdeu o financiamento do projeto devido a presencia da Odebrecht, que está envolvida em um escândalo de corrupção e não havia conseguido vender sua participação de 55% no consorcio (ver intel relacionado). |
