The Goverment of Brazil could sell Banrisul (BVMF: BRSR3, BRSR5, BRSR6), a bank based in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, reported Valor Econônico on 26 January 2017, citing the finance minister, Henrique Meirelles.

According to the Minister, the government does not intend to impose sale of the bank as a condition, but the bid would be in the financial rescue negotiation of the federal government to the State.

Banrisul is held at 70% by the Government of Rio Grande do Sul.

Governo federal brasileiro pode vender o Banrisul (BVMF:BRSR3; BRSR5; BRSR6), banco brasileiro com sede no estado do Rio Grande do Sul, segundo publicou o jornal Valor Econômico no dia 26 de janeiro de 2017, citando o ministro da Fazenda, Henrique Meirelles.

Segundo o Ministro, o Governo Federal não pretende impor a venda do banco como condição, mas a proposta estará na mesa de negociação do socorro financeiro do governo federal ao Estado.

O Banrisul é detido em 70% pelo Governo do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul.
