Galeries Lafayette and Printemps, France-based department stores, are negotiating with Spain-based holding Baraka to enter the Spanish market, reported El Confidencial on 7 March 201, citing Baraka President Trinitario Casanova. Baraka is acquiring the emblematic Edificio España, which has space for commercial premises. Negotiations are in the initial stage since the owner has yet to carry out refurbishment works.
