Four banks could be the finalists to take over the retail banking unit of Citibank Argentina, reported La Nación on 1 August 2016, based on sources familiar with the transaction. According to the report, the four entities that remain in the race are Banco Macro (BCBA:BMA), Banco de Galicia, BBVA Francés (BCBA:FRAN), and Banco Santander Río (BCBA:BRIO). Meanwhile, after completing the due diligence process, businessman Juan Bruchou decided not to continue in the process, in which he had made a non-binding bid together with Grupo Interbank. The first round of bids may have been between USD 180m and USD 250m.

Cuatro bancos podrían ser los finalistas para hacerse con el negocio de banca minorista de Citibank Argentina, según ha informado La Nación el 1 de agosto de 2016, basándose en fuentes cercanas a la operación. Según lo publicado, las cuatro entidades que habrían quedado en la carrera son Banco Macro (BCBA:BMA), Banco de Galicia, BBVA Francés (BCBA:FRAN) y Banco Santander Río (BCBA:BRIO). Por su parte, tras finalizar el proceso de due diligence, el empresario Juan Bruchou ha decidido no continuar en el proceso, en el que había realizado una oferta no vinculante junto con el Grupo Interbank. La primera tanda de ofertas se habría situado entre USD 180m y USD 250m. |
