The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, met with Argentine Minister of Foreign Affairs, Susan Malcorra, to launch an EU trade mission to Argentina in 2H16, reported Deutsche Welle on 14 April, 2016. Specifically, it was decided European Commissioner for Industry, Elzbieta Bienkowska, will lead the trade mission, which will focus on the energy sector. In the meeting, the officials also discussed the opening of new investments in the country and the potential re-launch of loans from the European Investment Bank.

La alta representante de la Unión Europea para la Política Exterior, Federica Mogherini, se ha reunido con la ministra argentina de Exteriores, Susana Malcorra, con el objetivo de crear una misión empresarial de la UE en Argentina en la segunda mitad de 2016, según ha informado Deutsche Welle el 14 de abril de 2016. En concreto, se ha definido por parte de las representantes que la comisaria europea de Industria, Elzbieta Bienkowska, liderará los trabajos de esa misión empresarial, la cual estará enfocada en el sector energético. En la reunión también se ha estimado la apertura a nuevas inversiones en el país, con una reanudación posible de las actividades de préstamo del Banco Europeo de Inversiones. |
