France-based Elior Concesiones appointed Pedro Fontana as CEO, announced Elior in a press release issued on 31 August, 2015.

The appointment comes after Elior Concesiones' acquisition of Spain-based Áreas. Fontana, graduate of corporate sciences from ESADE and MBA from Harvard, joined Áreas in 1998. Initially, he was board member, bu later became vice-chairman in 2001 and executive chairman in 2012.

La compañía francesa Elior Concesiones ha nombrado como nuevo director general al español Pedro Fontana, ha anunciado Elior en una nota de prensa el 31 de agosto de 2015.

Este nombramiento se produce tras la compra por parte de la francesa de la compañía española Áreas. Fontana, licenciado en Ciencias Empresariales por ESADE y MBA por Harvard, se unió a Áreas en 1998, en un principio como miembro del consejo de administración, para después ocupar la vicepresidencia en 2001 y pasar, en 2012, a ser su presidente ejecutivo.
