El Gobierno de Ecuador quiere impulsar el negocio minero del país y captar más inversiones internacionales mediante una serie de incentivos tributarios y bajos costes operativos, según ha reportado Expansión en un artículo del 21 de mayo de 2015.

Según el ministro de minería ecuatoriano, Javier Córdoba, el objetivo es dar una nueva lógica e impulso al sector que ha estado durante años bajo el negocio petrolero.
