EEGSA and Deorsa launch power generation tender

Empresa Eléctrica de Guatemala (EEGSA) and Distribuidora de Electricidad de Oriente (Deorsa), two Guatemala-based power distributors, launched power generation tenders, reported Siglo 21 on 20 July, 2015, citing executives from both companies. Deorsa's regulation and tariffs manager, Dimas Carranza, explained that the distributor will tender 18 MW, which are left vacant following the expiration of a contract with the national electrification institute (INDE). EEGSA's planning manager, Carlos Rodas, noted the company will tender 78 MW, supplied until now by the Alborada power plant, located in Escuintla. Both tenders are for a short period of time: from 14 September, 2015, to 30 April, 2016.

Empresa Eléctrica de Guatemala (EEGSA) y Distribuidora de Electricidad de Oriente (Deorsa), distribuidoras de electricidad gualtemaltecas, han lanzado licitaciones de generación eléctrica, ha publicado Siglo 21 el 20 de julio de 2015, citando a ejecutivos de ambas empresas. El gerente de regulación y tarifas de Deorsa, Dimas Carranza, ha explicado que la distribuidora licitará 18 MW que quedan libres tras el vencimiento de un contrato con el Instituto Nacional de Electrificación (INDE). El gerente de planificación de EEGSA, Carlos Rodas, ha señalado que se licitarán 78 MW, que hasta el momento suministraba la central Alborada, ubicada en Escuintla. Ambas licitaciones serán por un período corto: del 14 de septiembre de 2015 al 30 de abril de 2016. |
