Codelco (BCS:CODELCO), a Chile-based state-owned copper producer, is studying the possibility of entering the lithium market in alliance with a strategic partner, reported Diario Financiero on 17 August 2016. According to the report, Codelco plans to start the project and the search for a strategic partner in 1H17, aiming to materialize the entry into the lithium production market starting 2025 . Additionally, the mining firm is said to be seeking a financial advisor, as well as defining the business model and economic assessment of the project.

Codelco (BCS:CODELCO), productora chilena estatal de cobre, estudia la posibilidad de llegar al mercado de litio de la mano de un socio estratégico, según ha informado Diario Financiero el 17 de agosto de 2016. Según lo publicado, Codelco planea iniciar el proyecto y la búsqueda de un socio estratégico, con el objetivo de concretar a partir de 2025, la entrada al mercado de producción de litio. Adicionalmente, la firma minera se encontraría en la búsqueda de un asesor financiero, así como en la definición del modelo de negocio y la valoración económica del proyecto. |
