Cinépolis, a Mexico-based movie theater operator, is said to be interested in launching operations in Argentina, reported Apertura on 22 January, 2016, citing an official of the Argentine retinue in the World Economic Forum, in Davos, Switzerland. According to the report, the CEO of Organización Ramírez, the owner of Cinépolis, Alejandro Ramírez, expressed interest in expanding the movie theater chain to the Argentine market. He added the company had not considered the possibility in the past given it did not agree with the management of the previous government.

Según lo publicado, el CEO de Organización Ramírez, matriz de Cinépolis, Alejandro Ramírez, ha manifestado interés por expandir la cadena de cines al mercado argentino.
