Call2World plans Colombia entry with international and roaming call services

Spanish startup Call2World, that offers basic telecommunication services, will use international and roaming call services to enter a new market segment and expand its business in Colombia. Manuel Garriga, founder and CEO, said this possibility emerged because large telecommunications operators do not cover this segment or ignore it due to lack of profitability. Call2World began with a EUR 0.54m investment, and has recently closed its first financial round of EUR 0.38m from private investors, a EUR 0.15m loan from Enisa and EUR 0.28m from financial institutions.

La startup española Call2World, que ofrece servicios de telecomunicaciones básicos, utilizará las llamadas internacionales y los servicios de roaming para entrar en un nuevo segmento del mercado y expandir su negocio a Colombia. Manuel Garriga, fundador y consejero delegado, asegura que esta posibilidad ha surgido debido a que las grandes operadoras de telecomunicaciones no cubren este segmento o lo aíslan por la falta de rentabilidad. Call2world, que nació con una inversión de EUR 0,54m, ha cerrado recientemente su primera ronda de financiación con EUR 0,38m de inversores privados, un préstamo de EUR 0,15m Enisa y otros EUR 0,28m aportados por tres entidades financieras. |
