Douglas, a Germany-based cosmetics company controlled by CVC Capital Partners, could have submitted the most competitive bid to acquire Bodybell, a Spain-based cosmetics group owned by HIG Capital, reported El Confidencial on 8 November 2016, citing sources familiar. For Douglas, the acquisition represents a strategic investment in Spain, where it currently has 60 establishments and would add up to nearly 350 sales points. Other potential interested parties are international beauty brands, such as Druni or Sephora, the report stated.
