O empresário Benjamin Steinbruch, presidente da CSN, confirmou o interesse do grupo brasileiro na compra da americana Gallatin Steel. Steinbruch não adiantou, porém, o valor a ser desembolsado pela Gallatin. A Gallatin Steel é controlada pela Gerdau e pela ArcelorMittal e localizada em Kentucky, com produção anual de cerca de 6 milhões de toneladas de bobinas a quente ao ano. |
