The national hydrocarbons commission (CNH) of Mexico allocated eight of the 10 deepwater fields of the Gulf of Mexico offered in the tender of the fourth stage of round one (Ronda 1.4), announced Mexico's department of energy (Sener) in a press release issued on 5 December 2016. Specifically, it is estimated the allocated fields, including the Trión block of the farmout of state-owned Pemex (see related intel), will, during their lifespan, generate investments for USD 34.4bn. One of the winning consortiums is comprised of Pemex, US-based Chevron (NYSE:CVX), and Japan-based Inpex (TSE:1605), which was allocated the block 3 Norte, covering an area of 1,687 km2 and located on a stretch of water of between 500 and 1,700 meters. The remaining winners were China-based CNOOC (HKSE:883), France-based Total (Euronext Paris:FP), US-based ExxonMobil (NYSE:XOM) and Murphy Oil, Norway-based Statoil (Oslo Børs:STO), UK-based BP (LSE/FWB:BP) and Ophir Energy (LSE:OPHR), and Mexico-based Sierra Oil & Gas.

La Comisión Nacional de Hidrocarburos (CNH) de México ha adjudicado ocho de los 10 campos de aguas profundas del Golfo de México ofrecidos en la licitación de la Ronda 1.4, ha anunciado la Secretaría de Energía de México en una nota de prensa publicada el 5 de diciembre de 2016. En concreto, se estima que, durante su vida útil, los campos adjudicados, incluido el campo Trión del famout de la estatal Pemex (ver intel relacionado), generarán inversiones por USD 34.400m. Uno de los consorcios ganadores ha sido el compuesto por Pemex, la estadounidense Chevron (NYSE:CVX) y la japonesa Inpex (TSE:1605), que ha sido adjudicado el bloque 3 Norte, que cubre un área de 1.687 km2 y se ubica en un tirante de agua de entre 500 y 1.700 metros.
