Burger King España, a Madrid-based fast-food restaurant operator and subsidiary of US-based Burger King (NYSE:BKW), will now operate the brand's restaurants in the service stations of Spain-based Repsol (BME:REP), reported Europa Press on 25 July 2016, citing Burger King España Managing Director Paulo Barbosa. Specifically, Repsol transferred the operation of the restaurants to Burger King España after five years in which the oil company acted as a franchise holder of the US-based chain. Sources from Repsol noted the alteration does not represent a break in the alliance between the two companies, signed in 2011, but a change in model.

Burger King España, gestora madrileña de restaurantes de comida rápida y filial de la estadounidense Burger King (NYSE:BKW), pasará a gestionar los restaurantes de la marca en las estaciones de servicio de la española Repsol (BME:REP), ha publicado Europa Press el 25 de julio de 2016, citando al director general de Burger King España, Paulo Barbosa. En concreto, Repsol ha cedido la gestión de los locales a Burger King España tras cinco años en los que la petrolera ha actuado como franquiciado de la cadena estadounidense. Fuentes de Repsol han indicado que esta modificación no se trata de una ruptura en la alianza entre ambas empresas, firmada en 2011, sino de un cambio de modelo. |
